    Hi,

Does anyone know of a good child friendly family hotel on Cebu Island?
The next time we visit Cebu we would like to stay for a couple of weeks at a hotel with a swimming pool.
We will go in the summer of 2015 or 2016.

Is there a website that books flights and hotels the way we can do it for Europe?

I put in 13 x July 2015 nights in the boxes for the Shangri La hotel in Mactan and it came up with £2,100

The Shangri-La hotel and resort are not on Cebu island but rather on Mactan next door :D. It is a five star hotel and its lunch and dinner buffets are amazing but it is expensive and it can take up to an hour to (say) Ayala Mall in Cebu City.

A better bet might be the Marco Polo in Nivel Hills which has both a childs' pool as well as a good size one for swimmers. The General Manager, Hans Hauri, is a good friend of mine and he was my neighbour for a year when I rented an apartment at City Lights just up the hill from the hotel. It also is a five star hotel and the only one on Cebu island.

The Marriot on Archbishop Reyes Avenue, Cebu City, next to Ayala Mall, is reasonably good and does have a pool but it's quite small - in fact the hotel lost a lot of its gardens when Ayala extended the Mall in 2008/9. HSBC Bank is directly opposite.

Have you thought about spending part of your time at one of the resorts on Panglao island?

    Thanks for the info, Mark.
I want to take my family but don't want to pay a fortune after spending about £2,000 on flights and needing money for my wife's family when we arrive.
I don't mind anywhere on Cebu, Mactan or Panglao as long as it is good value for money.
Will look online at Marco Polo - Nivel Hills.

Thanks for the idea, Dom although I would prefer something by the sea and more beautiful when we go.
