Thanks @Timmers. We can't change it now but fingers crossed for a successful application.

is it?? my fiancee has some of my documents already and I originally planned on sending what all i have from here over. if you say is true then that would make application processing a lil bit quicker.

I don't know if it will make it any quicker. But because of the change being new I wanted to cause as little chance of delays or lost documents as I possibly could.

i got the idea docs submitted at vfs would be scanned and barcoded---andUK docs sent to sheffield--thus avoiding any postal losses between the UK & the filis.

isnt this why there has been some delays reported elsewhere on the forum ?

I can't answer the reason for delays. I only sent everything to Sheffield for my own peace of mind knowing they got everything at the same time and from the same place.

Hi@stupot10 i applied my spouse visa april 19 and receive this email from
Visainfo in shiefeld on 24th of april only on standard processing as my husband made the same error about priority.

Your online application has been received in Sheffield, UK. Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer.

If you have made a Settlement application (except for applications lodged in USA and Canada): you must ensure that your UK sponsor has sent all relevant supporting documentation to the visa section in Sheffield. The documents should be arranged in this order: application form and relevant Appendix* (See below); English language evidence; relationship documents; maintenance documents; accommodation documents. If documents are not received a decision will be taken on the basis on the information that has been provided.

If you have already had your supporting documents scanned in at the Visa Application Centre, or if you have already sent them in to us, please ignore the request for documents.

Please note that UKVI aims to complete all Visit Visa applications within 15 working days and all Settlement Visa applications within 12 weeks of the application date. If it is not possible to complete your application within this timeframe a member of our team will contact you to explain why.

The service DHL offer is very good. That's exactly how we submitted our documents so they were all received Together and were returned within 4 days of receiving them. We are now on week 6 of the application.

There's been a change. Now you have the choice to scan all the documents at the VFS or you send the documents directly to Sheffield. Whichever is best for you.

That used to be the case, now you send then to the visa application centre in sheffield, you will have to check but i was told few days ago that the scanning service is no longer available and all documents have to be sent to sheffield.

I've heard that too. A friend ask me if there's still scanning service. It is still available based on VFS website.

Nothing would surprise me with the VFS.
