Hi All, I sent both our sets of docs to Sheffield by Royal Mail guaranteed next day signed for on 5th March, with the requisite return postage-paid envelope. I tracked them and they were signed for at 9.50am on the 6th. We have received no acknowledgement - email or written - from UKVI and no documents have been returned yet! I could call or email them, but my experience of both methods of contacting UKVI - not to mention the cost! - have not been favourable! Should we be concerned yet?
Our ILR path: Sent Application Sat 9th Dec Signed for Mon 11th Sep Bank Deduction Tue 12 Sep Email received 18 Sep stating application received and under consideration
Thanks @HaloHalo - This is our first (Fiance(e)) application, so not sure if that makes a difference? I paid all fees by credit card, so can't actually tell if any money has been 'deducted' from my account (payment (in full) for credit card is being made this weekend, as it happens!) Maybe we will get an email, maybe our documents will just be returned with a letter? I will give it another week before I take any further action - Just concerned because I had read that others received their original documents back in as little as 4-5 days!
Yea a slightly different path but I thought there was some kind of acknowledgement within the first 2 weeks. Don’t stress, Im sure will be okay
I sent our application (fiancé visa also) in mid February. Don't have the exact date to hand. It was about 10th February. I received email confirmation of delivery from VISA.INFO SHEFO just a few days later on 13th February. Have not had any documents returned via the SAE which was also enclosed.
Wow...! It seems there is a huge fluctuation in timescales for the return of documents... Some on here have received them back within a few days, others - like yourself - are still waiting over a month later!!! Maybe it depends somewhat on which stage Visa you are applying for - I just hope it is not an indication of the final outcome... To my knowledge, my Fiancée has not received any email from UKVI acknowledging her application either!!!
Not relevant in your case but we received our docs back at the end of the ILR process. Notification of success and then days later all our docs returned.
