I won't be watching or following any games in the Qatar competition. I objected to the grim and underhanded way it was awarded to the country same as I objected to the way the migrants were exploited and without proper medical and insurance covers before, during and after the building of the various venues. Although Blatter and Platini were cleared of corruption, I am of the opinion that they got away with it due to their cover ups I will patiently wait for the Football Season to begin
.....And you've got your first game on Saturday 6 August 17:30 at Goodison Park, which is one week today! I'll be happy with a draw as the toffees are rebuilding under Frank L.
I am recovering from loudly cheering for the England women on their great achievement on beating Germany at Wembley. Great game. Better played than the fellas could ever do. Want to go to Goodison as it is the day before my birthday but Jet cannot take the day off work.
Yes, I watched most of the England v Germany game also, Dom, and enjoyed it too. I haven't been to see Everton for some years now and believe many games are sold out unless bought a long time before. As you say, it is not convenient for you anyway. I want to take my son there this year or next, so he can see Goodison before Bramley-Moore Dock is completed and "The grand old lady" is consigned to the history books.
Ahhh footballd greatest contest being played in a country with such a rich footballing history Well at least the rich part is right
I got an invite to go with some of the lads I work with, never been but wife is working so will probably go. Better option”just “ than Saturday evening TV.
I was feeling very negative about Qatar 2022 prior to the tournament but with the two wins by Saudi Arabia over Argentina and now Japan over Germany, it seems so exciting.
I take my two kids to football practice on Saturday mornings. They are really loving it; getting into their kits and boots and getting stuck in on the football pitches. My daughter joins in with the boys' teams. They watched some of the World Cup on TV last night and I could hardly concentrate on the football with their constant commentary and observations. They left the house for school this morning already excited about the Brazil game tonight
