If she goes over to the Phils, bigmac, she should stopover in Bangkok on the way home as shoes are very modern, inexpensive and plentiful. My missus was over the moon when she picked up about 8 pairs, on the street not too far from the hotel. I know you dislike travelling by plane. ........but..........does she have enough room in your house for more?
I thought my GF was unique when I found out she had almost 40 pairs of shoes, but it seems that all or most Phil girls have many pairs of shoes ..... Why? She even asked me if I was going to buy some new trainers because it was New Year !!!!!
Filipinas all seem to suffer from a decisive and extremely aggressive "Imelda Marcos Syndrome"..... 40 pairs of shoes............ You ain't seen nothing yet......... This is just the beginning, it gets worrying when the sales counter people at Clarks, or next or Debenhams or TKMAXX start calling you by your first name..........
hmm, I used to have lots too. But when I started working abroad, transferring from country to the other, I stopped buying more. When I came here, I've got only 10 left. My hubby has been asking me if I want new ones. But I don't. I'm sure I'm still a Filipina
Used to own over 80 pairs (excluding sandals/flip flops) when i was in dubai. Looking back, i realized its a sign of depression. I was miserable at work, dont get me wrong i was paid very well for it but i wasnt happy. So everytime im in a mall - which is almost daily, i would shop (not just shoes but clothes, bag or jewelry) telling myself that ‘i deserve this treat’. Going back to the topic, imelda must have ton of issues as well hence the hoarding of not just shoes but other material possession as well as to power (she was that voice that told pres marcos to not give up the presidency).
One thing she does has a ton of is money! Some of which has been recouped of course. She hoards off-shore bank accounts too. Im not so sure the wife of a dictator would have any issues that us normal people would have.
