Yes, read that too, not good publicity for our Filipino friends I'm afraid.

I must say though, he looks half tiddly wink to me with few of the Filipino defining features. Life in prison awaits him regardless of his parentage, if he is found guilty of course.

The Filipino Press will certainly blame the Chinese.

A similar case to the Harold Shipman murders, perhaps.

Needless to say the Filipino press has got it wrong and thousands of Filipinos who read an article on ABS-CBN think that an unfortunate Filipino has been framed to cover up British medical incompetence.

I wonder what makes them think like that, I could well see someone stitched up in the Philippines for something like this but never in a million years in the UK. The NHS may have a few issues but it doesn't stretch to framing an innocent man. The Filipino who is accused of these murders for the want of a better word will have his day in court and will be released if he is found to be innocent.
You have to ask yourself the question that if you were in the dock as the accused, which country would you prefer to be tried in, the Philippines or the UK.

They are judging others by their own standards and there is s good deal of "onion skin2 (Filipino term for thin skinned) about this. Somehow it "must" be that the hospital is incompetent and has framed the poor Pinoy.

He was active in Stockport. Not too far away. Must be something in the Manchester water.

Strange as to why so many similar cases have been uncovered over the years, I was watching a documentary only last night on Harold Shipman the infamous doctor.

This type of case always seems to take a long time to uncover.

I believe he has been out on bail all the while............. With murder charges pending...

Not a luxury that was afforded to Kevin and Charlene for spurious fabricated charges.

One needs eyes wide open in the back of the head every time one steps out of the hotel, overthere.

So is he still out on bail?

Why did it take so long to get the sick cu*t?

Seems like the hospital's internal procedures were at fault, who takes responsibility for that?

He will be sentenced tomorrow, I think he is guaranteed to spend the rest of his life in prison, better than a Philippine prison I expect.

Unfortunately this casts a shadow over the rest of the UK Filipino nurses, one bad apple and all that.

They showed an undercover report on the news showing a reporter buying nursing qualifications in the Philippines which would allow them to work in the UK.

This could lead to the invalidating Filipino nursing qualifications. You only have to look at the result of the English test undercover report.

I see that he has been sentenced to life,
with a minimum term of 35 years.

Is it just me, or is anyone else reminded on Mark Chapman (the man who shot John Lennon) when they see this guy?
