Filipinos, what is it like living in the UK? Any tips or practical advice?

    To be fair to myself I of course do sometimes rinse off excess bubbles in cold water before placing in drainer! :)

    My wife is the same when it comes to rinsing the dishes, no matter how much I rinse them after washing, it's not enough for her!

    Every time she sends me shopping I get the same lecture about sell by dates too.

    my water charges are now more than the gas !. i use gas for central heating..hot water...cooking.

    Just realised that my rice intake is increasing whilst my potato consumption falls! :eek::eek:

    And another observation - Kris can spot another Filipino at a 100 metres. And she can even identify a Filipina - from the rear - by the way she walked!

    It's like some sort of pinay radar! :)

    So true! :lol: It's also easy for me to spot Filipinos even in SEA countries. Indonesians are the only ones who look very much like us and they tend to dress a bit differently.
