Same here, I wanted a well lit and breathing kitchen but it is what it is I'all get used to the layout. Other than that, his flat is perfect! :)

    Thanks for the tips, noted!

Women (not all for sure but a lot of them) love pink. I don't know if it's just Filipinas but I'm referring to women in general regardless of race. :D

This Saturday. Got the CFO sticker and cert yesterday so now it's sure I'm really flying. Excited, nervous and sad. Mixed emotions really. :ninja:

im now on my 3rd week here in derby. i think im already adjusted from the weather and the time so far.
*i've learnt how to use the automatic washing machine and stuffs so far. im just staying here in the apartment while my finaces at work. trying to go for a walk once the weather is good
*i loved taking a bath and shower i think thats my favorite thing to do haha
*i can still cook some basic filipino food/veggies, not much eating rice though as my finace told me i need to learn how to cook british foods also with no rice so, ok
*i noticed the steering wheel of the cars here is on the right side, and the road looks like the same i always thought that we're always passing the same road.
*so yeah, i had this tooth ache 6 days ago until now and i needed to go to the dentist for the check up and its really expensive without the NHS. any one of you guys suffered from it before? is it because of the weather? i dont think i ate any sweets before i got this pain.:(

Any small cavity in your tooth you will quickly know about with the cold air here. It irritates the nerve in your tooth then stuck with toothache. Your fiancée doesn't like Filipino foods? Learning different foods to cook is good, but eating a range of British and Filipino foods would be a compromise as it's already a big change for you coming to the UK.
Yeah our steering wheel is on the correct side of the car :):D:lol:

Sorry, but him discouraging you from cooking the staple of the Filipino diet is ridiculous.

Fine, learn how to cook some British foods if you wish to, but you also need to retain your own dietary preferences, or you will become unhappy, I can tell you. You're not a slave.

My fiance only have three choices a) to eat the food i cook  b) cook dinner himself (im not choosy) or c) buy a takeaway (or starve?).

Kidding. I am the foodie between two of us bu he is now eating 3 asian meals a week (not just filipino cuisine, could be thai, chinese or indian etc) the rest of the week is 'traditional' dinner. It is a good and slow way to push the tastebud just a bit.

You are now lady of the house and decorate the place just the way you like.

You could maybe start by getting your paintbrush out and painting a window in the kitchen to make you feel better :D

If we have Filipino food my wife cooks. If we have British food I cook. It depends who's the laziest!

I'm sure Adam won't stop you from making Filipino foods but it's only fair to him if you can learn British foods too. It's only a fair compromise. After all, cooking Filipino and British foods is like having the best of both worlds. :cat::cat:
