Cool. Enjoy your time there. Only spent few days in manilla each time I fly home. So many beautiful islands to visit. I'm sure you will enjoy your visit and look forward to returning.

I have friends who flew with PAL and they said they'd never use them again. The plane was old and there was just one television screen at the end of the cabin for everyone to watch. It sounded a bit like the time I used Aeroflot - which got me to where I was going but I'm not sure I'd choose them again.

It's a long flight and, for me, the flying is quite a big part of the experience rather than just a means to an end. I like to settle in and get into a few movies - particularly if on my own - so based on what they said I'd not sure I'd use PAL. If we go back to Phils I think we'll stick with Cathay Pacific.

Thank you well I guess I will just see how it is then went for them as it was direct and a good price and I hate layovers.

Yes they have screens at the front of the cabins. Each time I have flown with them they give you an iPad to watch movies on. Not the best way to watch them but better than nothing.

Well I'm only 5'7 so leg room shouldn't be a problem I've flown with the RAF long haul many of times and you should see that haha so that looks fine to me.

Yeah... and at least you don't have to jump out the back of the plane when you reach your destination. :D

My wife likes the PAL nonstop flight from Manila to London and VV, because she does not have the worry of changing planes with a fractious child, the baggage allowance is good, and the stepsprog can play with the pad proffered by the cabin crew. Also, you arrive at T2 in Manila, which is still the nicest. But I think next time she will try Emirates or Cathay.

Flown with PAL several times but not from MNL to LHR but to LAX and SFO. Didn't have any issues really. Best for me always is when we are about to land in Manila and majority of the Filipinos are just too happy to be home that they always clap their hands! :p You might end up doing the same thing!

This was the best part about Aeroflot when I flew with them.

I have not flown with Aeroflot since 1970. Tu 104 - London to Leningrad and vv - on the return journey we hit some moderate turbulence and the bottom fell out of my seat, dumping me on the cabin floor. (I was quite a slender youth). The babushka flight attendant/prison warder just remarked, "It eez an old aeroplane!"
