Far out! Two days non-stop eating. How does the British manage it? Hahahah...

I wasn't able to finish the turkey.

But I love those pigs in blankets.

Also the Christmas pudding in custard sauce was lovely.

I have so many takeways and gifts, that I won't have to buy food for the next 3-4 days.

Hahaha... Just like the dinner I had last Christmas + apple sauce & that sweet potatoish thing.

It's the traditional Christmas lunch/dinner here.

    I had cranberrry sauce.

Did you like it? Or do you prefer our lechon and pancit malabon? Hahahaha...

I think the sweet potatoish thing would have been parsnips :)

The stuff that goes on the Xmas Pud is Brandy sauce.. We served it up to the in laws here last year.. Strange thing is this..The women hate it..Spit it out..
The guys love it and want more.. Might be the brandy in it?

It doesn't matter how many roast spuds and Yorkshire puds I make em....They still look like hungry children without 2 cups of steaming white rice on top of the roast pork..

I had two full Christmas meals: supper and lunch the next day

But the one who made the first Xmas pudding that I ate put the brandy on the pudding itself. I didn't like it. Hahaha

    The second one was excellent.

Yeah, same thing as my young sister. There's already potatoes, mixed veggies and yet she still wants rice with her roast pork. Hahahha...

My two elder sons (now 21 and 14) agreed with me, years ago, when I was their single parent father, that we all prefer Beef Wellington to turkey or goose, so that's what everyone got. I cooked it. But K cooked the roast potatoes parsnips sprouts etc., perfectly. She likes the beef but is not impressed by Christmas Pudding, whereas my two older sons cannot get enough of it. Incidentally, you should warm the brandy or rum before pouring it over the pudding, then set light to it. Do not try to use Emperador etc as the proof level is too low, and it wont burn - it's feeble stuff

One can get drunk on lemonade shandy too, if one drinks enough of it. But I wouldn't recommend it! Compared to Remy Martin or Courvoisier, Emperador is the lemonade shandy of brandies.
