    Hello everyone, I came to UK . December 2018 with a Fiance Visa Settlement (same sex)
    - We got married last month
    -Now, We are looking forward to apply for FLR(m) 5 year route.
    - We used a solicitor last time and our documents are organised for us but this time we are doing it by ourselves.
    - We just move to a new house share in london with both our names in tenancy agreement,

    Can anyone suggest what would be the thing to do? We dont know where to start and also, is it best to upload documents online or send it by post?

    Which documents do i have to submit?

    Briefly...

    Online FLR(M) application form;

    Same financial documents as Fiance(e) Visa application (updated as necessary);
    Accommodation document(s);
    Documents proving address/living together since you arrived in the UK - 6 in joint names, or a combination (e.g. 2 in joint names, PLUS 4 in name of Applicant, PLUS 4 in name of Sponsor);
    Marriage certificate;
    Photos together since you arrived in the UK;
    Wedding photos;

    Applicant AND Sponsor/partner passports.

    Apart from the passports, all documents can now be copies not originals.

    - All the above is detailed in the online application. Any specific questions, someone on here will be able to help...

    PS - After sending the online application you will have to get biometrics done at an appropriate Post Office.

    As far as I know, there is no exception to the requirement - when going from Fiance(e) to 1st FLR(M) Visa...

    Is there any great urgency to submit the FLR(M) application? Council Tax, utilities, supermarket loyalty cards - are all acceptable forms of proving address. I realise you say you have not long moved to a new address.
    We submitted the first FLR(M) application TWO WEEKS before expiry of the 6-month Fiance(e) Visa - no problem!

    You can get documents in joint names by changing council tax details and asking for a new statement. Same goes for gas and other utilities. We even have a joint National Trust. We submitted two days before the Fiancee visa ran out!... Don't do that.

    were renting a house share with all bills included. so we dont have that as our landlord/agents pays for it.
