Difficult one to call although I feel Le Pen will lose in the second round, I just hope the recent terrorist attacks in France have not had any bearing on the way the French people have voted.

    Another interesting election for sure.

None of the political commentators are giving her a chance, but that doesn't mean anything as we know.

An interesting time for sure, and if she did get in what next for the European Union.

We would then be waving goodbye to the EU :)

First Brexit, now a real prospect of an anti-EU French President: Merkel's dream of Germany at last ruling Europe is fading rather fast.

[sarcasm]Mark my words: Britain will be punished for this. It's all our fault and especially those traitors Farage, Gove and Boris not forgetting the opportunistic Mrs May.[/sarcasm]

Not forgetting Nick Clegg and David Cameron for suggesting a referendum and Tim Farron for failing to prevent it!

They are saying Macron has it in the bag, and think it will be more of the same for France as he is pro EU.

I don't think anyone should be celebrating the fact that the National Front is doing so well. Undeniably, there is a failure by many of the mainstream political parties in Europe in tackling Islamism.

Even if the polls have it wrong, the swing required to give Le Pen a sniff of a chance is next to impossible. More chance that Davie Moyes wins Manager of the Year 2017.

Macron PLUMMETS in the polls as Marine Le Pen enjoys boost a WEEK AWAY from election vote
EMMANUEL Macron’s lead over Marine Le Pen has taken a heavy hit as France prepares to vote in the final round of the election on Sunday.
Recent moves by Ms Le Pen to appeal to a wider audience seem to be working as she has removed herself as the leader of the Front National party, and rebranded her campaign with the new motto “Choose France”.

Pollster Harris Interactive, who correctly predicted the result of the first round, revealed a six points slip by Mr Macron since last Sunday.

    I prefer this paper:
