Looked around couldn't see this anywhere sure it must have come up before though.

I'm in UK, I have Amazon Prime, Neflicks and Sky anytime. Any idea if I can watch any of these in Philli on my UK accounts? obv you will need a VPN or something. We use them in Portugal fine by chrome casting off my tablet.

Or is there any other device I can buy to get access to USA/UK TV shows/films while in Philli?

My Amazon Prime and Netflix work fine using my UAE account. I don't run a VPN for my streaming.

I can confirm that Amazon Prime and Netflix work fine, the Netflix content is regionally restricted but the selection is not bad.

I don’t know if anyone is interested but talking of Amazon Prime, they have picked up the rights to show premiership football in the future and will show the games through their existing output.

“Members will also have access to Premier League highlights throughout the season adding to Amazon's portfolio of live sports, including US Open and ATP tour tennis as well as NFL. This is alongside an already impressive and ever-growing collection of TV shows and films available to stream, not to mention its next-day delivery service.”

I wonder if Amazon Prime would work in the Philippines? Perhaps through a VPN!

Gf is about to try Netflix now. I'll get her to try Amazon Prime after and see.

Amazon content that you own outright works in the Phils, and I am fairly certain that I accessed Amazon Prime content last time I was over without requiring a VPN, although next time I think I will set up a permanent VPN connection between the house in the Phils and my flat in the UK, the VPN will be on a WiFi router that is set up using a second SSID in the house in the Phils, this way I will be able to easily route traffic either through the VPN and via an endpoint that looks perfectly reasonable in the UK or direct via the net in the Phils.

The reason for doing this is that the address space many commercial VPN suppliers provide is well known to sites like Netflix, Amazon, the BBC etc. and they will (edit:missed a word)block you even when you are on your commercially rented VPN, when it is a home made private VPN that is much less likely to happen.

Yes she's using my UK Netflix out there now no problems, no VPN required.

But she won't have exactly the same programs that are available to you in the UK, licence restrictions imposed by publishers restrict what Netflix can show at any one time in any one region.
