A TV crew once turned up at my sons grandmother's beach to film two nest of turtles eggs hatching, they were hawksbill turtles pawikan in visayas, there's a great place off bohol you can dive with them.

The turtles in that vid are hawksbill, highly protected but the shells are still for sale from fishermen for decoration or guitars.

People are shot daily mate, but it's off camera so it's easier to manipulate the scene in favour of the uniform.

I don't know if it's a Filipino or Asian thing, but when tempers are frayed there doesn't seem to be an easy way to calm things down.
When everybody is wailing and screaming around a gun-toting cop (who seems to have "history"), the outcome is so shocking to us in the UK.
That cop should have shouted at everybody to sit down and be quiet while he ascertained what the problem was

This is why I am against guns in any country.
One act of anger or impatience can have devastating consequences.
I had the same point of view in the USA when heated arguments arose over gun law.

We should be so thankful that UK law enforcement officers are trained to be calm.

That was never going to happen in that family compound, and shouting at Pinoys to be quiet would have ramped up the volume :) he murdered the mother and son for no reason whatsoever and with seemingly little emotion while his daughter (she looks 9 or 10 years of age?) filmed on her phone, glad they ain't my neighbours o_O

That is amazing, thanks for posting, Druk1.

It looked like the stingray and the orcas were assisting each other, especially as the stingray was moving along the rocks in one direction before it swam off.
I am guessing that the stingray was keeping a shoal of fish away from the rocks and the killer whales were waiting for a snack.
One of those orcas was big :D Wonderful.

Great whites we're a huge tourist attraction in Gansbaai South Africa, lots of people made their living from them, nowadays great whites are a rarity because killer whales moved in to predate upon them.
