    Hi, everyone,

Hope your all taking care of yourselves and your family in this second lock down in the UK?

Im here looking for help getting my Philipeno Girlfriend over here to the Uk, it is complicated because Ive found a genuine nice honest lady of 49 years old who wants to spend the rest of her life with me.

we have discussed the finances and she knows im not rich she has even asked me not to send her money which says a lot in the rotten stereo typical world of stories about men being duped by young women trying to make money.
we've had many video calls together almost daily and we are very attached to each other but considering our circumstances we need the very best information and experiences of others to learn how to do things right .
I really hope that the people on this site can help us .
    Take care everyone .
    regards
    Omega1965.

Just realized your from the isle of widget, i am born and bred in pompey, I live in kettering now , but pompey is still calling me home you know.
I miss my home town a lot esspecially as I get older in life . i really miss the sea , the fishing and the sailing to.
My Father was a teacher at the city of Portsmouth boys school and unfortunately even as his son I was taught by him to.
Im one of the idiots that installed water meters on the isle of wight back in the 80s as a pilot scheme supported by the government at the time.
sorry about that it was just a well paid job at the time with very long hours digging holes outside all the houses.

    Hi and :welcome: here, Omega1965,

The best way is for both of you to marry and for her to apply for a spousal visa.
That's what we did after we married in the Philippines.

Have you met your girlfriend yet?

Ive just picked out a long standing member of the site who made a comment which seems very similar to our circumstances
so Ive asked him a question or three.
Unfortunately my gf is married and she has been seperated for 3 yrs living at a different address
    many miles from her husband.
he has refused to pay any maintenance what so ever either to her or for the kids and has no contact with them.
they are not interested in seeing their Father.
my problem seems to be finding information on how to get my gf over here and on what type of visa
every visa available seems to default to a partner being a single person and not married in the philipenes to a philipeno husband.
    Thanks for your input .

    First of all, welcome aboard.

The fact that your GF is married poses a huge problem in as much as she will need to have her marriage annulled before any Fiancee or spouse visa can be issued.

Marriage anulment in the Philippines can go on for years and it is a lawyer's goldmine.
A very important factor if you plan to visit the Philippines is to not make it too obvious to neighbours or girlfriend's friends that you are spending the night together, as you may be reported to the police and both arrested if the husbands, comes to hear about it, files a complaint for adultery...
It is on the whole, between LDR woes, costs involved and risk factors, a huge enterprise, and you have to be ready for the long haul.

    Good luck
