Hello All. I'm a regular visitor to SE Asia for scuba diving and The Philippines is my favourite destination. I enjoy the country and have made a number of friends there. I now have more spare time and expect to be spending longer there. When I visit I like to travel around, rather than stay in the cities and I carry a rucsack rather than roll a suitcase, but I'm probably a bit old to be called a backpacker! I hope to find some useful tips on here - travel, visas and maybe gain an insight into The Philippines from a resident's/ expats point of view, rather than mine as a visitor.
Welcome Nigel. I was a keen scuba diver up until about 10 years ago. I'm sure that there are many great places here for diving.
