If I'm not mistaken it's USD 1554 as it's paid in dollars.

Brom is correct - the payment is actually made in Dollars at a rate of exchange set by the Government (unhelpfully, in my own experience!)

when you complete the online application form it will tell you the fee.

In GBP it should be £1250 spouse visa fee and £600 IHS so around £1850 (not priority) and £2350 with priority.

    I hope I'm right @bigmac correct me if I'm wrong ;)

Using the priority service means you receive the decision in 10-15 days, well worth the extra £500 IMO.

    Thank you

Do I send paperwork over first or pay the fee first - what is the order of play .

I was thinking of paying in full

Then arriving with all paperwork to submit a month later

    March 1st 2017

Is that a good move ?

Without the paperwork surely a decision can't even made - So wot comes first?

After paying out 2 grand surely a yes is a given - or wots the point ...

The order of play is gather the documents -- send it to your wife -- make an online application -- once completed, book an appointment -- pay the fee -- attend the appointment at VFS -- wait for the result -- be patient -- get the result -- enjoy the UK. That's it :D

One very important point, your financial documents need to be no more than 28 days old at the time of online submission, remember that.

Is your wife able to print a hardcopy of the electronic application?

    There is good advice here.

I suggest the following "batting order"

    1. English test (valid two years, can be taken in Cebu or Manila)
    2. TB Test (valid six months, must be taken in Manila)
3.Complete online application, pay online and send over all papers including sponsor's financial data which must be less than 28 days old.
    4. Once the visa is issued, apply to the CFO.

Good point - in general there will be an Internet cafe not too far away where this can be done.

I'll take over paperwork myself - and pay the fee in her presence as we fill in form together online.

    cheers

PS: I have 2 months to compile all the docs - I arrive rhere on March 1st.

You can always print to computer, put the document on a memory stick and pop down to the local internet place for a copy.

2 months is more than enough.
