But remember that the most important part is your financial information which must be not more than 28 days old. You will need someone reliable in the UK to send it to you.

Hi Timmers! I had my ielts test yesterday and I will receive the result on the 21st and I'm taking tb test on the 19th and base on the sms i received the result for the tb test will be on the 26th. Remember i told you the last payslip my wife gave me is the 30th November and you told me I can lodge my application not later thanDecember 27th. What if I will start applying online now while waiting for the result of the tb test just to be in that 28days rules. Do you think is possible or is too late for the application instead I l will just wait for my wife to send me her December payslip and bank statement which possibly around 2 week of January then I can submit the application. Any thoughts? Thanks

You can start the application now. You will get the TB test result on the same day so you don't have to wait for days with that.

That's good to know brom! I never thought that you can get the tb test result on the same day. Thought you have to wait for few days. That means I'm qualifiedto the 28days rules for payslip at the same time the 6months validity of the tenancy agreement I'm also qualified. Nice one!

Tb test is released the same day. You book and appointment at the iom center. Fill up the form they require and you'll get a confirmation of appointment. You show up on the day of the appointment, then fill up more forms and then have a chest xray and you are done

With your electronic application you can start filling in the detail now on the sections you can. Then save and quit your info is saved and you can go in and re edit add more as you choose. However if you don't do anything with it for 30 days it will drop off.
Golden rule do not hit the submit button till you are ready
When you have answered the section fully the heading will turn to a green box.
Always save as you complete or do as much of a section as you can.
Always save and quit when you leave the application.

And remember the TB test is not a foregone conclusion as our good friend @bigmac will tell you, only a few weeks back my mother in law failed her TB test when applying for a visa for New Zealand, she now has to wait 6 months before visiting her daughter.

the thing is @Jimmy----once you create an online a/c for the visa--using an email address and a password--you AND you wife can read all the questions on all the pages---and confer with the answers. just need to get it all 100% correct.

. while your doing that--and it can take as long as you need to---we did 4 attempts at it--and scrapped the first 3.

also--separately---you need to print off all the pages of the appendix 2--the sposorship part. this you can fill in by hand.

make sure you get the financial requirement correct--because if you dont you WILL fail--and lose your application fee. others have found out the hard way too.

after you have done all that--get the documents to your wife to hand in at VFS--and then the clock starts ticking.

The mother in law has had many TB tests in the past to to visit various countries, it just shows, you never know.

yes--my fiancee's TB tests were clear previously--but the last one before she was about to apply was more than 6 months old--so had to get a new test. this was after waiting 15 months for her annulment. life really bit us on the bum with that.

also---bear in mind TB is almost unheard of in the UK--and treatable under the NHS with modern antibiotics. all for free. not so the philippines. its rife--& the treatment cost is crippling for most filipinos. i like to think i saved my fiancee's life.

just to emphasize---your all important docs--that is--your 6 months wage slips and 6 months bank statements showing salary paid in must be no older than 28 days at the time of your online application submission and payment.

Thank you for all your help thus far folks

I am wondering - can the Tb test be locally in the province ? Does it count ?

And is the English test only done in Manila ?

Any instructions much appreciated as to locations for both appreciated.

Unfortunately there's only one location for the TB test which is quite unfair for applicants from Visayas and Mindanao (like me) it is only done in IOM in Makati City.

For the English test it can de done in Cebu and Manila, both with two test centres.
