She will need her new passport for the online application, better to wait till she has done the TB Test and English Test before applying.

She can do the TB test and English test if she has other valid ID aside from passport.

well in that case - if we cant do it the other way around - all bets are off. Pity.

whats the danger of doing the form and paying with the new passport details (when it comes/when its done) and then doing the tests after - which she reckons she can arrange inside a week.

I might as well face the music now - and tell her the consequences.

    cheers

I was just thinking that the passport number is required when applying online, no passport no number.

Why not do the tests while waiting for the passport?

she tried that and cancelled - because they need the passport ....the new one...her old one runs out in August.

basically the long and the short is - will we have enough time to fit in ALL the meetings in that 28 day window - is the appointment allocated ASAP after paying the fees??????

So we have to fit in 3 meetings - 2 tests and the actual appointment.

    cheers

Book the tests ahead of time. The TB test result will be readily available in a day and the English test result will take 7 days. Start the online application as soon as she gets the passport but don't confirm it until she gets all the test result. Start answering the Appendix 2 as well. By the time she gets the test results confirm the online application and book for an appointment.

    I think that's feasible.

thanks for that...but it looks like I wont be there to complete this with her...and that makes it awkward. (that was the plan). I'll have to decide whether to take a chance and the risk of losing ALL and see what happens.....all or nothing. If the tests fail for whatever reason, so be it. Lifes a gamble. Docs wise all have to be completed by 28th March.

Well here we go then - the passport has arrived TODAY - she will collect on THURSDAY - I arrive on FRIDAY..............we will do the forms together on the 9th after we come back from PALAWAN - by then she would have booked the test and the jab. As my docs are dated from the 28th FEB. We have until the the 28th of March to fit this all in. So we pay the fees and get her to the appointment.Pressing the magic payment button on the 9th) - I understand once the fees are paid the appointment can be done inside two weeks MAX. so from the 9th to the 28th that HAS to happen.

Its cutting it fine- but all my docs are dated to meet the 28 day cut off. (so we have 19 days).

    lets see what happens.

If anyone reckons I can do it better or am wasting my time - do let me know.
    Thanks again folks.

I wish you luck with your application, just bear in mind about the CFO seminar and obtaining the sticker once the visa is issued.

Your wife can attend the seminar at any time but she cannot obtain the CFO passport sticker until she has the visa.

Better to get the seminar out of the way as soon as possible :)

call me thick- but after the appointment - what happens?

whats the order of play? Is she then accepted or rejected / THEN is this 'seminar' attended or BEFORE the actual decision? and as for the sticker thing....whats that lol.

we are in no rush by the way.

She can attend the seminar after she gets the visa, I'm just thinking of your time scale that's all.

Better if you're pushed for time to book the CFO seminar now then the wife can go back for the passport sticker once you have the visa in hand.

Without the CFO sticker she cannot leave the Philippines.

Once she gets the visa she will attend a Pre Departure Orienatation Seminar at CFO whether in Manila or Cebu. After the seminar she will be given certificate and a sticker in her passport. She cannot leave the country without this sticker so she has to attend the seminar.

You have a choice to attend this while waiting for the visa but she has to go back to get the sticker once she gets the visa so that means going twice which is okay if you live in Cebu or Manila or if you don't mind traveling and the cost.
