Hi I'm new here and just wanted to introduce myself fist before asking questions, I am getting married to my Fiancee later in the year we have the wedding planned to be in Cebu. We meet each other in London and she is from the Philippines and is here on a work visa as a Nurse. we are currently trying to get all the paper work together and need to get some help. I am not sure what i need to bring with me and how I can process from UK so that documentation for the Marriage Licence is done on time. Can you please help? Do I need to complete the CENOMAR and can this be done with out being in the Philippines? Also do I have to visit the British Embassy in Manilla or can i get this paper work done from the UK? as I have no planned trips to Manilla and when we go to get married it will be just two weeks before out wedding that we arrive. All help will fantastic as we have less and less time and it seems to have lots of paperwork to sort out
Hi welcome to the forum and congratulations on your impending wedding. Wait for other chaps here to assist you with your query. Plenty of members here have experience getting married in the Philippines and they are familiar with the process.
hi and welcome to the family we are all here to help if we can I got married in the Philippines in bayugan I had to go to the regarstery office in England where I lived they told me I still had to put my marrage bands up in England and my wife she had to do the same in bayugan at her place she arrange all as that's where she lived at time and yes you need to prove that you are singal as well as she doses with your pepper work you can send it to her and she can put it into manila for you
Thank You John for you help, But the only issue with this is that we both live here in the UK and won't be travelling back until our wedding at end of May. She is currently back there visiting for two week and doing arrangements for our wedding, Is it possible to arrange for her to go to the British Embassy on my behalf and get the Affidavit stamped for me without me being in the Philippines if I send her the information and documentsrequired? So that I will not need to travel to Manila in May?
yes she can do that as far as I know of if she cant do she will need to ask one of her family if they can do but I am not sure how that would work
Welcome here as you're marrying in Phils, do you have the marriage licence yet? As a British National you will need an Affirmation or Affidavit from the British Embassy in Manila and then you can apply for the marriage licence to allow you to marry there.
to the forum! Some fellas here got married in the Philippines. I'm sure @uklove might be able to help you on this.
