    Hi, need some help regarding
    Fiance Visa.
Any idea when applications will be accepted again ?
When paying healthcare charge do you pay full five years worth when applying for visa or £400 ?
Does the applicant need Tuberculosis X-ray certificate ?
If I get made redundant but have over £2000 in savings is it likely to get the visa still ?
    Thanks for any help
    Dave.

no idea when things will return to normal--then there will be a deluge of applications.
no health surcharge with fiancee visa--you pay 2 installments when she applies for each flr after you marry.
yes--she needs a TB certificate--only valid for 6 months--so dont get tested too soon.
if you get made redundant before she applies--you will have to wait till you get another job and have 6 months payslips.
the first 16,000 pounds savings is disregarded.

What if I had £25000 or more in savings, would I still have to wait 6 months for pay slips ?

6 months is seen as the norm! Make sure you include the pension payout letter as an auditable document

if you do not have a job when she applies--you can use savings.
    the maths are:
    2.5 times the earnings requirement ( 18,600 pounds )
    = 46,500.00
    plus 16,000 which is disregarded
    total 62,500.00 pounds.

if your earnings fall below the requirement, you can combine with savings pro rata.

in my case--i sold my house and rented a place, and used the savings method.
you have to have the savings in a readily accessible a/c for 6 months and state how you came by them. it cannot be a loan.

Have a read of the linked document above. Section 7.4 is the relevant bit and worth reading to see if you are sure you have an evidence trail that would allow time held in pension to count towards the six months. My reading of is that potentially it could be used but it depends on personal circumstances and evidence trail.

I would prefer and recommend to have it as cash savings for full six months as the evidence trail is so much better. But if don't want to wait that long there may be an opportunity with right evidence trail. That said if relying on that option be very sure you meet requirements, it is fully documented and refers back to their guidance as to easy to say not been in cash for full six months.

With all these things simpler is better.

Just a reminder, the IHS goes up in October, so you will have a window between whenever applications are being taken again and October when the IHS increases from £400 per year to £624 per year, however thinking about it as you are applying for a Fiancee visa you wont pay that with your Fiancee visa, but you will pay it when you apply for FLR after 6 months..

One further point you can meet the financial requirement by using Pension, Job Income, and savings, but they will all need to have been income/savings for the past 6 months.

Okay thanks, her annulment should come through in three months so if by then planes are flying and visa office back to normal I might just make it.Been told I'm not on the redundancy list ufn.A lot of ifs and buts though.
