Your right to think ahead about jobs etc bear in mind that at the current cost base the visa process will cost you in the region of £11000 to £12000 over 5 years plus visit costs etc a well paid job is required.

£23k a year equates to around £11 per hour whereas the current hourly Minimum Wage rate for 25+ year olds is £7.83. I can not believe it will rise by over £3.

Yeah, I got my maths wrong there, and crossed it out. That was my mistake. It's coming up to dinner time, so I'm more focused on that instead of correct numbers.

Kev, no one is getting involved in your relationship, so don’t stress over people trying to help you to not make any mistakes , maybe mistakes that they have made and learned from .

Enjoy continuing with your daily contact , as that’s all you have at the moment , but try to plan a visit there as soon as you can . Often the girl that you know on skype, is just as wonderful in real life , but there have been occasions where this isn’t the case .

I do not know of anyone on here who has not sent money to the person who they are now married to. There are scammers and there are also some beautiful people wanting someone special. You do have to buy a ticket to win the raffle, but the knack is not to buy the whole book when there is no prize.

I didn't send money to my partner when we were just 'courting' ... especially after a short time, like 3 months, for example.
