Hi I'm Martin from the north east of England and recently had my first visit to the Philippines (Cebu City) and absolutely loved everything about it. So much looking forward to browsing and reading story's, information and advice. I'm hoping to get back there later in the year or the beginning of next year. Please feel free to message me and it would be great to hear from any single Filipina...Take care.
Hello and here, Martin. How long were you in Cebu City? Did you venture out of the city? I married a lady from Cebu province BTW (by the way)
Hi Martin.. Glad you enjoyed your trip but you really need to travel the R.P a lot more before you decide that Cebu is a nice place! I am forced to go to that concrete jungle occasionally but the good news is it`s only a short ferry ride away from some really beautiful islands that some, like me call "paradise"!
Hi Aposhark and many thanks for the welcome.. I was in Cebu City for 18 days and didn't venture out of the city but only because I knew I was going to Mallorca for 2 weeks just a couple of weeks after flying home from Cebu...I hope I have the opportunity like you to marry a a lady from Cebu or anywhere in the Philippines hahaha...I'm hoping to get back over either later this year or in the new year and certainly will take time to travel to the paradise parts wherever I decide to visit next time...Thanks Martin
Hi Boots on the Ground...There is regret that I didn't travel out of the city...I was staying in Lahug quite close to JY Square...It was obviously my first experience of Jeepneys and habal habal and tried to make sure I travelled around the city out of rush hour periods...I really enjoyed Ayala Centre and particularly the live musiv that was freely available...Cebu has some great musicians and bands...As I said to Aposhark I'll certainly go further afield next time I visit...many thanks, Martin.
My advice would be to go over again for another familiarisation trip, Martin. I don't know how long you can afford to stay over there but a month really is better. As you may have seen, Filipino ladies ("Filipinas") can be extremely beautiful but it is best to (try to) go slow. I went over there many times on my own (scuba diving) and just became a sponge soaking up the atmosphere at first. I didn't have a girlfriend there and then one day I met the most exquisite woman who became my wife. Ask questions here and I am sure we can offer good advice. Soon, Aposhark
Hi Martin and I spent a fair bit of time in Cebu havnt been back for 9 years I agree with Apo,s advice
Thanks everybody for the advice and information...Alright Druk1, I'm from Wallsend, North Tyneside... In Cebu I met my LDR girlfriend who's from San Carlos City, Pangasinan...We naturally wanted to meet for the first time but I didn't want to fly to Manila or Clark Luzon and face the congestion there and long transfer to San Carlos after the long flight because 1 week after returning from the Philippines I was already scheduled to fly to Mallorca Island, Spain for a 2 week vacation and also to run in a half marathon...So we decided to meet in Cebu where the transfer to our hotel in Lahug would be relatively short so I flew her down from Manila and we landed in Mactan, Cebu within 40 minutes of each other. It was truly a great moment when we met for the first time...We had a fantastic 18 days together in Cebu...We'll see how things go from now on
Hi...Just back today after 3 fabulous weeks in the Philippines to see my beautiful girlfriend again and once again we had the most wonderful time together...I flew to Clark this time and we met there and got the coach to Dagupan City where we stayed..We also visted my girlfriends home in San Carlos City where I met her wonderful, lovely and beautiful family who cooked Bulalo and Pancit for us on the day we both share our birthday...I can't thank them enough for making me feel so welcome and part of their family...I'm also so very grateful for the hospitality and friendliness of the Pangasinan people...Missing my girlfriend and the Philippines so very much already.
