I am new hear to this group my wife is filapino and I am scotish we have been married for 2 .5 years now we got married in the philppines we had a lovely wedding with great familys and friends who came to it I hope we can fine some reallyb good friends on here so we can meet up with at some point

I think most of them (local 'clubs') have facebook pages and youtube videos.

Leeds area has some sort of Filipino club, which help run Barrio Fiestas, I believe.

I have been to Barrio Fiestas at York and Ripon.

Videos of both can be found on youtube (including some of mine).

@Aromulus usually starts the ball rolling, I think we will have to wait a couple of months before we start to get any solid Barrio Fiesta dates and specific locations.

I think there was about 25-30 of us that attended the Barrio Fiesta in Birmingham last year, we also stopped at the same hotel, its good to meet fellow forum members.

Hi John. I live in a village between Cas and Tadcaster (don't like to give more details on an open forum ).

I and the Mrs also have a new apartment (rented) in a small town just north of Dagupan in Pangasinan, North Luzon, and near there we also have a hectare of land... just about to start building a small house on it... next month. My in-laws live all around that area. I'll be going out in early March to supervise. I was last there last month.

I think @DJB attended this Barrio Fiesta last year and enjoyed himself, is it the one at the racecourse?, if so that's the one, I seem to remember he posted a video of that famous Filipina girl band performing there. Looks a good do, maybe that's where we could meet up later in the year although it is a bit northerly for some of the members.

Yes, it was Ripon Racecourse... a good venue.

They have also put on the event a couple of times in York. I have vids and pics from those too.

... Not sure what is planned for the coming summer, as my attention is focused more on overseas events these days I suppose.

ok that's no problem I have spent about 250,000 pesos on building our house which is in our money4,087.42 all we have to do now is put some plants and some other thing that we want to do to house
