Im feeling homesick. Im missing the noise of my neighbors, the crowing of rooster, the videoke gang, and most of all --the heat. A lil sacrifice so i could be with my fiance. Few more weeks and we will be married. And thats what im excited for. Isn't this a problem for most Filipina wives settling in UK? It's a major, seismic shift from everything that is familiar and home for them. Cannot imagine how they can ever really adjust to being in a cold rainy country, with very few people that can even speak their language. Strange food (to them at least), totally alien culture, no family around them. I often wonder if they know what they are letting themselves in for when moving to our fair country. Must be love I guess
thanks @bigmac .. been in this situation before (when i had my holiday visit here last 2015)..took me 2 months to adjust and then after that everything went so smoothly. Thanks. I know you understand how i feel since you had a Filipina wife too, unlike others who're just trolling around here.
Just so you know, with very few exceptions everyone here is a Briton in some form of relationship with a Filipino, be they married, engaged or 'significant other'.
