it says there that if theres no tenancy agreement involved then use the info for rented accommodation, the supporting letter will state that i have sole use of the room and it is more than 50 sq. feet. which can be seen on the photos. It will just be me and my fiancee for this room we will have own our place before we start building our own family. I just have been told that home inspection report is not really compulsory the home office requires it more often this years.

Its not a requirement but it depends on the situation. So as long as you have proof of accommodation and can prove that there are no overcrowding, you should be okay.

Thanks Maley for your input, looks like having your own place could be a little less hassle than if you are sharing with others. I can budget for a home inspection report no problem. I can get a letter from the owner of the house. Do I still need original copies of the council tax bill, mortgage statements and land registry title as they MIGHT think twice before they completely let me send them off to my fiance in the Philippines

Documents provided with the application must be originals. All supporting evidence must be in the form of original documents.

Copies of any kind are not acceptable unless there are valid reasons for not being able to provide the original document.

The reasons for not being able to provide the original document must be explained in a covering letter. We are unlikely to grant your application without the original document.

We will accept electronic bank, building society or bill statements which are provided as evidence, where they are accompanied by a letter from the issuing authority on its headed stationery confirming that the documents are authentic, or bear the official stamp of the issuing authority on every page.

i guess i can borrow one of their mortgage statements instead of land registry title. hopefully thats that for the accommodation requirements. Proof of their ownership, my fiancees permission to live with me and no overcrowding and suitability proofs. thanks Christina :)

If you're availing the scanning services at VFS, copies should be acceptable.

Which documents are you referring to? You don't need to get all your copies certified. The passport copy is suggested to be certified, but not required.

I can send my passport thats fine i think. I want to only send photocopies of mortgage statements, council tax bill and not the original ones because they are not mine

Hi guys, just want to make an update before we finalise our documentations. Me and the fiancee are thinking just to have our own place by renting a one bedroom flat. Do we still need the inspection report and a letter from the landlord if I put our names in the tenancy agreement (although i dont know whether it can be done with her not being here) as it will show that the place is ours which can last more than a year? (also proves our intention to live together i think).. thanks very much :)
