Seems like most countries have their untouchables now.... I can't help thinking that the gap just gets wider all the time now....

Apologies, I feel a Del boy moment approaching "After the war when nobody had anything...."

But it really seems like it was only 75 years ago now when the vast majority of people, at least in the UK, were "all in it together".... but now it's definitely going towards Us and Them again - good song btw :D

Saw them live three times, the best one was the first one in Liverpool Empire in 1972 - before DSOTM was released.
They (Gilmour and Waters) don't appear to be getting along very well again, as repotrted by news outlets recently : https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-...feud-roger-waters-david-gilmour-b2277474.html

Waters is touring again this year https://www.brain-damage.co.uk/2023-tour-zone/index.php and says he has remade DSOTM https://www.msn.com/en-gb/entertain...sedgntp&cvid=5ca79657f98a49339c3119956797e966

We're getting older, Jim, but we've got good memories of these gigs.

Went into LA this morning, saw dozens of unfortunate people living their own sad version of the American dream turned nightmare, the guy pushing the cart flew the Stars and Stripes. 008CF63E-8A6C-46F6-8F37-CE506673A228.jpeg 0558474A-83DB-4705-84F2-39053407B6AD.jpeg

Walked through skid-row this morning, horrendous,a cop advised me not to take pics of the main encampments, too many crazies, the smell reminded me of Manila and Calcutta, decay+piss+something unpleasant mixed in.A guy lay face down in the gutter not moving,no one gave a f**k,disproportionate number of black people, lesser number of whites.

Grateful it's not me there... it doesn't take much to get on that slippery downward spiral...
