    Hello Everyone,

I hope your all having a wonderful day!

I am a Filipino, living in the UK, working fulltime and I am thinking about buying some land in the Phlippines.

I am looking at Boracay, Guimeras and Siargoa, as I love islands and the beach! What do you think aobut these islands?

Does anyone know if there is a London based estate agent that can help out with the process?

If anybody has any experience buying land in the Phillipines, as a British citizen born in the Philipines, your advice an guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thankyou so much,

    Maz

    Welcome to the site.

If you are now a british citizen i think you will need to re acquire Philippine citizenship first. As a brit i cant buy land there ( not that i want to ).

Can't imagine any London estate agents being involved in PI land sales.Your better off asking pinoy relatives surely?

No Malcolm that would not apply to a child who acquired British citizenship from a parent, children born to a Filipino mother or father anywhere in the world are Filipino they don't lose their nationality because they have a second nationality.

I agree there is some room for ambiguity but the opening poster states they are a Filipino living in the UK and then goes on to use the phrase "as a British Citizen born in the Philippines" possibly a mistaken comma immediately before that phrase but it implies seeking advice from someone with similar heritage.

The OP states they are 32 years old in their profile and lives in Bristol so chances are they came in under the old rules.

Actually you know you are right this could be someone who got naturalised recently, the phrase "as a British Citizen born in the Philippines" was misleading me into assuming this was someone who acquired citizenship a long time ago naturally, but it could be a girl who married and just got naturalised recently.
