Hi all, I'm trying to obtain a list of all the Facebook Messenger phone and video calls I've had with my fiancee. I tried downloading all my Facebook data (via the account options), but the "calls_and_messages" folder only contains actual phone calls (not those made via internet/Messenger). The "messages" folder contains all my Messenger discussions, but it does't appear to include the event of voice or video calls being made. Can any advise how I can get an itemised list of these calls? Thank you!
To my knowledge, you can't get a separate listing of calls in FB Messenger! Amongst your chat - if you're lucky - you may be able to spot entries such as 'The video chat ended', with a time and date...
When collating evidence, I would suggest that you consider how much is enough and how much is simply going OTT. In my case, I submitted about 30 photos of myself and Miss R together over a 5/6 year period. Zero Facebook chatlogs. If these photos weren't enough, I couldn't see what difference it would make submitting chatlogs where she is asking what I've eaten today. I'm now typing this whilst sitting on the toilet and Miss R is listening to goodness knows what on YouTube in our bedroom. We are going to Mass shortly. If photographic evidence is thin on the ground, just cherry pick certain items from the start of every month, perhaps? Submitting an extended version of Samuel Pepys' diary is not a good idea, IMO.
This is the hardest part I think. I'd hate to have it declined just because an ECO wanted to see just one more photo! Or one more shred of evidence. But I totally get it that overwhelming the ECO is likely to cause more confusion and annoyance than help the decision making process! My current work-in-progress document pack has 37 photos from 3 trips. I'm heading there again next month, after which we're applying. So I'll include some snaps from that trip too. I'll try to keep the total quantity around what I have now then, if you think it's already adequate. As we have only known each other a relatively short time (9 months when we apply), I have took one Messenger screenie per week - so around 24 photos (some weeks I was in the 'Pines with her). Do you think this is overkill then - ever given our short term together? Do you think it would be wiser to just include one per month? Thank you!
@aposhark & @Drunken Max - yes, you're right! The calls are indeed in there, with the durations too. No idea how I missed them before! Now I just have to think of a way of filtering out all non-voice/video calls to construct a handy list I can print out Thank you
If you can fit 9 pics in an A4, you can submit 5 pages of pics. That's what I did. Then some skype logs and monthsary greetings (whatsapp). We were on our 11th month when I applied for my fiance visa.
in our case--we printed off one A4 sheet of FB chat logs for each month we had been apart since we got engaged ( and last saw each other )--so--23 pages covering 23 months. plus random photos of us together --in the UK. she got her fiancee visa in feb 2016
Hmmm, I currently have 3 ~ 4 photos per page. When I tried squeezing more in, I found the quality wasn't too great, so with shots where we're further away from the camera (gratuitous tourist shots in front of attractions) then the couple in the picture could be anyone. Did you have yours printed professionally, or just on a home high density inkjet? I'm using the office colour laserjet to print my proofs and despite it being 600x1200dpi, it's not great. My home printer is too old for this type of work, sadly.
For my fiance visa, I used the office printer (the big one). For my spouse visa, I used my home printer which was fine. You can buy a new one. She will need it for spouse visa too.
About a month ago i found out how to access our Fb chat history, today iv tried to remember how i did it but for the life of me i cant find how to do it again, yeah i know i can scroll back, but that is a long and ponderous way to do it. Can someone please tell me again how i can find our chat history going back about 2 1/2 years please..
When i click on the drop down list, and go to settings, My Account settings gives me; Name User Name Contact Ad Acount Temperature Manage account Identity Confirmation Managing account is only giving me; Legacy contact & Deactivate. Im really at a loss how to access our chat log, which i need for the Visa application.
Go to settings, it will show you Account settings Security privacy Ads Notifications News feed settings Media Your facebook information Legal policies Go to Your facebook information. Below that: Access your information Download your information Activity log Managing your information Delete your account and information Click Download your information. From there you will see the things you can download. Check the 'Messages' only. And then click, Create File. Note: i'm using facebook in Google chrome (mobile).
Thanks guys, Iv found it now, all i have to do is seperate our chats from conversations that i have in a group that i belong to Lols, i dont hink thats going to be easy haha.
I sent about 30 to 40 sides of examples with the video chats on. Basically printed it all to PDF and then deleted the other stuff. There should not be group chats included in the file link. Just to your partner
