    Let's reminisce....

How did our gentlemen (or ladies) here propose to their Fiance/wife/husband?
Just wondering how cheesy, romantic or weird Brits can be.

My Fiance popped the question while we were on a parasail and did it again in the evening dinner where I finally got my ring. :)

And until now, it's loose on my finger. Said he measured it when I was asleep before and thought it's the same size as his little finger.

Standing on the beach at Anvaya Cove, with the monsoon breeze whispering through the palm trees as the full moon rose over the mountains behind us, with a bottle of Moet in an ice bucket...

    Perfect...

It helped to have a friend who is a Master Mariner and a resident of Anvaya Cove to consult the Nautical Almanac and the weather forecast.. sunset 6.14, moonrise 6.43...

I got the ring size wrong. I had asked her sister, who told me that she had checked, but she hadn't she had just given me her own ring size.

    She said...

"I didn't expect this. And you are an idiot!"

Got proposed to on my birthday. We went to a restaurant overlooking the city. I thought he was uneasy and seemed to be in deep thought the whole journey going there but disregarded that thinking he might be sad that he was going home in a few days. Then he gave me a book authored by him. It's really just cartoons with dialogues and narration about our love story but I was impressed at how detailed he was at events and everything he liked about me and us together. He knows I'm a person who doesn't like attention so he grabbed me to a secluded area and tearfully popped the question as I flip the page that said "Will you marry me?" I was so nervous!

He was already teasing me about it after we first met last November 2015. Then leap day came he kept on saying "ask me the question". I would answer him "No, you do it.". On our 2nd holiday in Singapore (June 2016), we had a fight. He finally asked me the question. He said he can't imagine his life without me.

He then told me after I said "Yes" that he had already planned on proposing over dinner. He's a person who likes to do things properly but that fight made him popped the question in an instant! I've seen the question coming, but not the "how".

He put the ring on my finger in front of Sperry in Vivo City after having it resized!

This is how hubby proposed to me. It was two years ago in February. He sent the ring via Royal Mail. He said, if the ring arrives and won't be lost in transit, then we are meant for each other ..(lol). The woman at Q.C. post office has this 'kilig' moment when the Bureau of Customs officer opened the parcel.

As I mentioned in the other post, the ring was stolen in my apartment..grrrrh!!!!!..
