    Hi everyone,
Can someone please explain the 28 days rule for financial documents? Are the payslips included as well or just the bank statements?

Thank you very much in advance!

Your latest bank statement should not be more than 28 days old from when you submitted your online application and yes that includes the payslips.

If you get online bank statements then yes you can get it stamp by your bank or if you get paper statements through the post then that should be fine. Latest payslip will also be needed.

In our 3 visa applications we printed off 2 copies of internet state ments with a letter from our bank stating they were correct and authentic, statements identical to ppsted no need for stamping saved the cashier some arm ache too.

That’s another way of doing it, probably the best way.

    Hi All,

We are about to apply for my husband's first FLR (M) in 2 weeks time and have a few questions.

    On the application form,

1)In Section 8 - 8.4 Questions highlighted on the below.
    a) Which title and level of qualification do we put?
    b) What should we tick regarding which body rewarded the IELTS test and which SELT unique reference number?

2)In Section 9 - 9.15 Give details of the British diplomatic post(s) involved if the application(s) was or were made abroad. What do we put here?

    3) Do we also need to provide photocopies of all the documents when we go to the premium service centre?

Many thanks in advance for your help!

    1) 8.4 Title of Qualification = IELTS Life Skills (if that’s the test he took)
Level of Qualification = A1 (or whatever is on the cert)

Ignore that instead answer the next one coz he is relying on the test you provided before, am I right?

When I applied through premium service I provided photocopies for all documents and I was commended by the staff and thanked me coz I saved them time from photcopying it themselves. Also that means you are out of the center quickly as well.

Hi guys, another question which I'm very confused about...

On Section 3, they are asking this:
    upload_2018-10-30_13-59-53.png

3.16: I'm not sure what date I should put here - is it when I first came here, when I first got the ILR, or when I was naturalised?

3.17: Do we put Settlement as family dependant?
I came to UK when I was 15 years old with my family as a dependent from my father (He had a job in UK). Then we lived in UK for more than 5 years until our whole family got ILR and then we got naturalised after we got our ILR...

Hi does anyone know what sort of documentation we need to process the Accommodation part of our application? I have received Title Deeds via my solicitors office which I can print out and include. However, I am now led to believe by the Land Registry that I have to write in for and official copy of the title plan by completing form OC1. This will slow things down unfortunately. Look forward to any helpful advice.

Can't you do this bit online?

From what I recall, you can download a copy of the title from the Land Registry online for a small fee (couple of quid). I ordered an official title to be delivered by post (didn't turn out to be much different to the online one) and it was with me fairly soon. Certainly not much longer than a week. The longest part was waiting the for the title to be updated in my name as I had only recently bought the house.

Can order on line or by post. Online application is £3 per document. Think it is the title register that you need. On line version details when it was purchased and sure I have read elsewhere that this version was used successfully in visa applications.

Postal one is the official copy which can be used in things like court cases. Think it is £7 per document.

    Hi Again Everyone,

Can I just please ask once spouse visa granted, how many days will allow you to arrange everything before travelling to UK?

    Thank you so much!

Difficult question to answer as there are a number of factors involved. My comments are based on our experience applying for family visa.

As part of the process of applying you set an expected travel date initially as part of setting up the application which does not change and can then input a date within the application which you can change.

If you want time to sort things after getting the visa answer I suggest setting the date about 4 months after the application date as hopefully you will get an answer at the three months after application point and then have some time to organise.

The visa will have a thirty day validity period and if applied for early enough I expect it will start approximately 7 days before requested travel date and end 23 days afterwards. This is what I had read happened and having queried @Stevembe it is in line with the dates he requested and the vignette that his wife and stepson got.

If takes longer for a decision compared to the requested travel date will get a vignette issued for travel virtually straight away and a requirement to be in uk within 30 days. Will not have much time. In our case they missed the requested travel date and set the vignette travel date 14 days after the decision date. Whether this was deliberate as we have not yet seen decision for step children and someone knew it would be a bit later or there is a minimum time between decision and vignette start date I don't know - based on @Stevembe dates I don't think so but this is UKVI we are talking about.

As a result you need to think carefully about travel date when you set up the application and before submission if you want to have time to get a decision and then sort things out.

Additional complications that you need to consider are the need for a CFO sticker which they will not issue until the start date on the visa and the need to land in the UK before the last day on the vignette. Hopefully your spouse has already done the gcs course so will only need to go to CFO with certificate to register and then get sticker. Otherwise recommend doing in advance of decision or will need to get slot on the course and use more days in the 30 day window.

    Good luck.

You have 30 days from the valid from date on the visa...as straightforward as that.

Thank you so much for your help. He didn't do GCS course this is the first time I heard about this? And we are both filipino citizen do we still need CFO certificate/sticker? as I've read online it's only for who's spouse is foreign national?
    Thank you again
