Calm your tits is possibly one of the greatest sayings of all time. I'm definitely going to adopt it. Cheers Brom

Just wondering if i should be reading anything into the fact that Kris has not received the SMS from VFS confirming that the documents have been sent to UKVI?

As mentioned above she got the text the evening of her visit to VFS for her visitor visa last year. Her settlement appointment was last Thursday so one might have expected it by close on Friday.

Has anyone else used the VFS SMS service - and if so did you always get a text the same day or later?

    Thanks.

Don't worry about it Gerry. Their SMS service is not reliable. On my 2 visit visa applications I didn't receive any SMS at all and I hear other people complain about that so don't worry if she didn't receive any :)

Hi everyone! I'm currently still waiting for my fiancé result for nearly 2 months now. While my fiancé and I are waiting we're planning what to do for the next visa which is FLR (M). My fiancé is currently earning £19,000++ but has an overdraft after paying for my fiancé visa.
Do you think it is alright to get a loan to pay for the over draft and pay for my next visa? Or will that be a problem for the next application? Thanks in advance

Hi -- there are others here better equipped to answer your financial question but if you do as you suggest you would then be using "savings" (in reality the loan) instead of his salary. If the loan is deposited in his bank account for several months it may be ok to use it as savings but as i say others will confirm.

You and your partner will also need to be sure that getting a loan to pay off overdraft and pay for FLR (now increased of course) will not place you in financial hardship. Nothing worse than starting a new life worrying about money matters.

We are still waiting on fiancé visa for Kris (@inaroiles ) and her son. Her VFS appointment was on 9 March --- can I ask when yours was?

    Good luck!

    Gerry

Thank you for your reply. My fiancé and I worked it out all about getting the loan and we think that we can pay them without worries.
By the way, I've done my IELTS with your fiancé, though we were not partners. Goodluck with your application. Waiting game is so hard. I had my VFS appointment on 23rd February. We went for the longer processing time

    All the best :)

Also on the financial bit, I think loans and overdraft do not matter as you only have to prove the earnings are over the amount, nothing else :like:

I agree JT but my understanding of the situation is that Kylie and her man want to clear the overdraft and pay for FLR.

You are of course quite correct they could simply rely on his salary for eligibility purposes...but would naturally need to find the funds for FLR.

    Cheers.

That's good -- it's certainly an expensive business!

Really - small world! Yes - I recall Kris saying she was partnered with an older guy. Perhaps she'll remember seeing you too!:)

    All the best.

The loan will not matter and will not affect the next visa as long as he still earns at least £18,600 per annum then that's all that matters. :)

Thank you. We just feel like it is better to have my fiance's overdraft cleared and paid before applying for the next application, just to make sure that they will not look at his overdraft and use it to refuse my application

Yes, she partnered with an older guy. I believed he was going for a spouse visa

Thank you bes! We will definitely need to get a loan anyway. We already worked it out where to we need them for and how are we going to pay for it. Surely, once I got a job it will be easier for us then.
Do you know how much does the English test Level A2 costs?

I'm not sure how much it costs but why do you think so much in advance? :D You don't need the A2 until after 2.5 years once your first FLR(m) has expired ;)
