    Nope. You can still use the A1 so don't worry about it. The A2 is a requirement for those who are in the UK after the first FLR so you don't need that just yet. :)

    I think the cost is around £160 - no doubt it'll be a bit more by then.

    I just checked it's £150 and I won't be surprised myself if it goes up. :cool:

    That's fair enough :) as Gerry mentioned you're looking to clear it up, good to aim for. Just know that they won't be looking at his overdraft or anything similar when you do apply, as Brom mentioned :like:

    Send the copy of your IHS payment with your documents to Sheffield as they are the ones concerned with that not the VFS people. The VFS staff has nothing to do with your IHS payment.

    You have to make an online appointment and once you're done you can then pay and book for an appointment.

    Hi everyone, I am new in this forum and already I have found a lot of useful information, thanks so much to everyone here :) Me and my fiance are working on requirements for my fiancée visa application. Last week a friend who is applying for spouse visa informed me that VFS Manila no longer collects the supporting docs for the visa app. Instead she was asked to mail them to the Sheffield office. Can anyone please shed a light on this? Is this for spouse visa only or does it apply to fiancée visa as well? This new process is quite a surprise for us, so I'm wondering if anyone has ever come across this recently
    Also I'd like to ask for your advice on accommodation. My fiancé is currently living with his parents but we have decided to rent a house for our future accommodation. Do you think it will be an issue that my fiancé has only recently rented the house? Which means he will not be able to submit proof that he has been residing in that house/address for a long time? Thank you in advance! :)

    Yes the process has changed and the application goes to Sheffield in the UK, note you still have the option to get the application scanned and sent to the UK for you details of which can be found on the VFS website below;

    https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/philippines/

    The accommodation will be fine, just ask him to submit a council tax bill which he should get straight after moving into the new property and also the tenancy agreement with a letter giving you permission from the landlord to stop there. In addition you can submit a floor plan of the accommodation to satisfy the UKVI that the property is suitable to accommodate the both of you, include pictures too if you wish. If I was you I would also state on the application that your chap has recently acquired the property in anticipation of your arrival in the UK once the visa is secured.

    Thanks @Timmers, will do that. I will probably mail the docs to my fiancé for him to submit them personally as DHL won't deliver to a Sheffield PO Box. Not to mention these will be important and sensitive docs.
    Do we need to submit a property inspection report also?

    Mail the documents to your fiance and your fiance will send the documents to Sheffield by RoyalMail. He can't give it personally. A property inspection report will help to prove that there will be no overcrowding in the house, so it is recommended. Although others were successful without a property inspection but better safe than sorry.

    How long does the process takes? It will be 60 days next week since I sent my fiancé visa application. Mark said that it says on the websites he looked at, it will take 60 days but I always see on the websites that it is 90 days process. We are hoping that we get the results next week because we are planning to getmarried in June and I'm planning to fly on the 1st week of May. Do you think it's alright to contact them regarding the situation?
