I didn't include mine as my P60 (2016-2017 - I worked in this company since June 2016) when we applied (March 2017) for the visa was less than £18,600

But my fiance's visa still got approved if that helps :)

a p60 covers the previous year to april of the current year. so with a category A sponsor it would be meaningless if the application is 6 months or more from the dates the p60 relates to. wage slips and bank staements for the last 6 months prior to application is what counts.

    Hi everyone,
Ive been in a relationship with my fiance for 4 months now. We have just got engaged two weeks ago And he's back now in UK. we are working on getting me a visa. Is it true that fiance visa would require atleat two years of relationship? Or thats for unmarried couple whos applying for spouse visa?

Also, if I got approved for fiance visa and we get married in UK, do I need to complete the whole 6 months stay and go back to Philippines for the spouse visa to be effective? Reason is I would want to help my partner and be able to work to UK as well. So, we planning to get married soonest we can when I get to UK.

Or would it be wise and faster to just get married in Philippines and apply for spouse visa?

Any advise please? Thank you so much!

Congrats... A lot of questions, so here is my 'take' (understanding) -

"Is it true that fiance visa would require atleat two years of relationship? Or thats for unmarried couple whos applying for spouse visa?"

Fiance(e) Visa (FV) has no specific length of time for a relationship before applying, only that you must have met face-to-face at least once and neither of you must be currently married.

"Also, if I got approved for fiance visa and we get married in UK, do I need to complete the whole 6 months stay and go back to Philippines for the spouse visa to be effective?"

If a Fiance(e) Visa is granted, after you are married (within the 6 months of the FV) you apply for Further Leave to Remain (Marriage) (FLR(M)) Visa from in the UK. Normally it is advised to apply for the FLR(M) Visa no more than 28 days BEFORE the FV expires, regardless of when you are married during the 6 months.
So, regardless of how soon you get married (there are minimum requirements for how long you must be in the UK before marrying!), you would not be able to work for at least 6 months..

The living together for 2 years is for those
who have livid together in a relationship like being a married couple, it does not apply to a fianceè visa.
The fianceè visa allows you to stay in the UK but you must marry in that period and as already stated you the remain in the UK while you apply for FLR. The fianceè visa is different to the Marriage visitor visa because at the end of the marriage visitor visa you must leave the UK and apply for your next visa from outside the UK.
You ask is it better and faster yo marry in the Philippines.
Taking the fianceè path allows you to come to the UK and get a feeling for the country and lifestyle also that your BF is close to what he says he is. It in reality gives you the chance to decide the situation is right before you marry,it allows your BF to do the same.
The fianceè route is more expensive and takes a little longer in time.
A spouse visa is a cheaper way but once you are married you are married and if you come to the UK and the situation is not as you thought you are still married.
Remember you have only known each other a short time and met in what could be described as holiday romance circumstances!
    Good Luck

More (relationship) time needed IMHO. Our cultures and countries are so very different.

Yes, you can work in the UK more or less straightaway if you marry first in the Phils and come on a spouse visa. On a Fiancee visa you can't (until married).

Well, it is the 'foreigner' who is applying for the visa, and you (?) the sponsor.

Just realised Iv put this in the Fiancee visa section, should be under the Spouse visa section, yeah obviously its my wife thats applying, and i am the sponsor, however it asks for my Wife,s Passport details elsewhere, and my Passport details as her sponsor elsewhere, as well as in this section.

    Select your current marital status.
Will your spouse/partner be travelling with you.
The number of the passport or travel document.
Nationality as stated in the passport or travel document.
Family/Last Name as stated in the passport or travel document. If you only have one name, please enter it here and then re-enter it in the Given Name box.

Date of Birth as stated in the passport or travel document.
Does your spouse / partner currently live with you.
Please enter details of their permanent residential address and contact details.

    Father details.
    Mother details.
    Children details.

Iv answered the passport/travel document as if its my wifes details that are requested, am i correct ? Its a little confusing and obviously Im double checking over and over.. the will your spouse be travelling with you ? is clear enough, its the document details thats confusing me, it doesnt say his or theres, so Im presuming its my Wife,s details.

Hi all, I wanted to update on our fiance visa.... we finally got a YES after 213 working days! (bio 5th Feb, non priority).
To be honest, I thought our application was very straight forward. So goes to show you can not plan for these things.
We planned our life around the 60 day timeline. Its taken 10 months.

I defo will be paying for same day decisions now for the future visas!

Holy moly! That's utterly terrible service. Unless you are a national security risk like some Russian oligarch, you deserve an explanation as to how the system failed you so badly.

Thank Christ that despite this you eventually got the positive result.

I know! No idea what they have been checking for the extra 7 months. But I think there may have been a third party check, and they just forgot about it, lost on a pile of paper on someones desk...!

There is certainly a breakdown in the process somewhere.
    But glad it was approved.

Jeez that’s terrible. You do deserve an explanation but I’m guessing you’re just so thankful that the decision was right. Glad you’re through it.
