Globe sim load expires after 1 year. My question is: when does Globe sim expires? If I have load on my phone, but I haven't used for 1 year, will my sim still remains active, as load validity is 1 year? Do I need to make call/text at certain frequency to keep sim active, OR just having the load enough? I asked 2 different Globe kiosks in SM mall, and got 2 opp0site answers, so I thought to post this as a topic on forum.
I think you need to put it on 'roaming' before you leave the country. Check on the Globe website ? I've got Phils SIM cards lying around all over the place...always just bought a new one every trip. I still have my BT sim here in my dual sim phone in the Phils... along with my Globe one. Use it for banking, etc.
Sorry I have not made it clear. Load will last for 12 months, sim you need put load on before 12 months expires. SIM Terms and Conditions | Prepaid | Globe
Have managed to load SMART pay as you go using credit card. SMART has the ability to set up an account to manage your phones and can use that to buy load or in a few other places as well. Assume that Globe is similar Topping up 300 pesos a go got 12 months of validity. But do need to ensure that you get SMART roaming set up before you leave the philippines to use it abroad and receive texts. Definitely do early and set up the phone with a decent sized load balance before going. Have top up within 12 months to keep the load that was on your phone. New topup keeps the balance going for another 12 months. Still have my number from three years ago although normally visit every three to six months and top up when I arrive and set to roam on when I'm leaving.
