Maybe they thought the kids were her siblings. Funny, good thing my Fianceand I are a bit sober until the wedding. This is noted though.
That's the scary thing I've met Paul's wife, and I would not ask her for ID, but the only reason for that is that I am so acclimatised to Filipinos, when I met Ana I thought she was 20 to 22 years old, she was 32 now I do the mental arithmetic whenever I meet a Filipino male or female My pal Segundo is in his late 40s but still looks like a 30 year old. The vast majority here in the UK will get your age wrong you just need to get used to it, it is a backhanded compliment when the locals think you are too young
Last word about this, let's start paying the checkout girls and everyone else in those kind of jobs at least £20 pound an hour and how about we encourage that idea all around the planet, I mean this seriously, how about a bit of equalisation of remuneration across the whole of society and then we can really talk about the fairness and stature of "low grade work".
Never thought about siblings but a valid point indeed. As Jim says, those with a bit of acclimatisation of filipino people wouldn't make the mistake. Asawa is 5'2" in height and slight in stature so i think that contributes to the age thing when being visually analysed by shop assistants here in the UK.
I'm still 20 but I'm sure I won't be asked for ID coz I look 30 or something, I never thought that's of any advantage after all.
Don't be so certain about that. Used to be that people needed to look 18, then 21, and now 25, who knows what it will be next week.
I don't think we'll have to rush out any time soon to buy a fake ID You see a lot of men in the Philippines who look like they have never even shaved
