could anyone advise what ielts are required for ilr ? my wife has already got A2 from her last flr extension. is the A2 sufficient for the ilr ? or does she need to do the B1 test aswel ? thanks
My wife is due her 2nd 2.5-year FLR(M) later this year. She has A1 currently and we are planning to go straight to B1 - every penny saved helps - which will cover her through to & including ILR in 2024... On the subject of IELTS tests, if we pre-book soon - I believe from the British Council website that tests are still going ahead, through the current Lockdown #3 ? - but later re-enter a new, tougher lockdown would a test be considered a legitimate reason for travel or would we likely be rescheduled/lose the booking fee? Any thoughts...?
thats what we did..her ilr is may this year. swotting up now for the life in the UK test. i would fail it for certain.
All visa associated appointments are classed as essential travel. Be prudent to book nearest centre where the required tests are available.
Thanks @Mattecube - that's good to know. We are fortunate to have an IELTS Test Centre only about 20 miles away...
