Although my wife to be is not speaking english perfectly, neither do i,
We are really worried that test will be our downfall.
Has anyone done this english test and how difficult/easy was it ?

Very very easy. I can assure you that.

It's only speaking and listening. You can download a free sample test on their website so your wife will have an idea what the test is all about.

Thank you for your reassurance. We only just paid so have not looked in depth at the test examples.

Make sure she practice with it. She will expect the same thing during the actual test (just different questions) but at least she knows the flow of the test.

Nearly everyone in ph can speak english and if she had practice on the test, she wont be nervous on the day as its exactly the same pattern just slightly different question. I was asked about my hobbies, which countries i like to visit and why. Then you ask a few questions to a fellow candidate and that is it, php10k for 15 mins

Hmmm...but there is a score. A1 is the name of the test. The score is between 0 - 9. But I am asking for the score that is considered a pass.

You need to score 4.0 and above for Speaking and Listening.

No worries. I think the chart is relatively accurate but it infers there may be some variance. It does however indicate whereabouts we need to be aiming on the scale. Ive booked B1 for asawas upcoming ILR later in the year.

A1 test is either pass or fail. No grading system unlike other type of ielts

Based on this chart a C1 (speaking) and B2 (listening) IELTS score (which was submitted for Fiance and FLR(M)..can this still be used for FLR visa extension application?

Yes! As long as it is previously accepted in the visa application and the test is still one of their list. If it is IELTS, you are good to go ;-)
