IHS / NHS

I've been living here in the UK for almost a year now yet I haven't got the change to register to the local doctor services . I just never felt the need for it really and been busy at work.

Just got my 3rd copy of the form I needed to fill up and hopefully this time I accomplish it and get scheduled for doctor's appointment.

Simple question though, it is asking for my NHS Number (10 digits) but I don't know if I'm supposed to have one already. I know I paid for the IHS and this entitles me for NHS.

Is the IHS reference number the same as the NHS number? Although my IHS number is a 9 digit number.

Been having this dilemma since my first month in here but I don't want to stress out so I decided to let it pass and just do it next time.

One more thing, when is the next time I need to pay for IHS? Is it when I'm applying for my next visa or is it like an annual payment or £600? I've been through this before during my visa application but I'm afraid I need to be reminded again

Thank you very much guys as always.

    hi OrB--how you doing ?

the ihs fee ( £500) is paid at the time you apply for FLR. not an annual fee.

Definitely got the information mixed up that's why I thought I had to pay for it annually

I'm doing great. I have stopped moaning about the cold weather and I'm enjoying the sun
