The end is in sight, my wife applied for her Ilr on 19th May, biometrics and scanning done today 05/06 in Wolverhampton, we were prepared to pay for a priority application (5 Days) but were only offered super priority (same day), so now our holidays are in the hands of the Government official, my thinking behind the withdrawal of the priority is because decisions are now taking so long (Close on 6 months) people will be more inclined to pay the extra for super priority. Incidentally the woman at VFS said she had 40 appointments to get through today at Wolvo work it out, VFs not on a bad screw are they and that's only one office. Anyways I will keep you updated on the outcome and timeline, fingers crossed and everything else.
Good luck - my wife's biometrics (for ILR) appt was on April 18. We are expecting upto 6-month wait, so anything less will be a bonus...
A d3cision was taken in January 2024 to suspend visa priority service so the UKBA bodies can prioritise the Ukraine Applications scheme amidst the Ukraine war. Hence all other applications are taking longer to consider. Blame Putin
