first off--she needs to get her BRP from the post office which will be named on her visa documents.

national insurance..best go to the local job center and ask there.

doctors--register at the practice of your choice.. also--dentist

    bank--talk to your branch.

get her added to your council tax bill--bang goes your 25% discount. but you need letters addressed to both of you for her FLR when the time comes. also--added to utility bills.

I did not know about the BRP card. My wife has been here for 2 1/2 years! Is that the same as her visa in her passport? How do i obtain one if she requires one?

    Thanks for the link
That's strange because we had no letter, no mention at all of this at any point of the entry clearance application. My wife has returned home for 3 weeks in April with our daughter and had no problem getting in and out. Her visa says valid until 29th April 2018, and i thought that was all she needed.

I think the BRP was introduced after she got the visa so that doesn't apply to her but you will find that when she applies for extension this April she will need to get a BRP this time.
