    In Jack's own words

Jack Letts, who left the UK to join the Islamic State group as a teenager, has said he had been an "enemy of Britain".

The Muslim convert, who is in custody in a Kurdish jail, admitted he was once ready to carry out a suicide attack.

The BBC interviewed the 23-year-old in October but it can only be reported now after his parents were convicted of funding terrorism by sending him cash.

Maybe mummy and daddy should of kept an eye on what he was doing on the internet :D

Hopelessly naive still burying their heads in the sand blaming everyone else and to have the gall to blame it on OCD do they really think that is some sort of credible defense for their son rubbing shoulders with terrorists and murders is an insult to people who do suffer with OCD.

I have no idea what prompted this guy to think joining up was a good idea on balance his mental health is at least questionable but I dont think his parents sending him £250 ,from their perspestive to leave and get back was criminal either most Parents would probably do the same

At best this guy is a active terrorist sympathizer a poster boy for ISIS he joined up to support a terrorist organisation out to destroy this country why should we care?

ISIS have killed hundreds of thousands of people mainly muslims and little jack was a cheer leader for them would he be asking to come back had ISIS had won?

that statement is I note not supported by any evidence nor do I find any thing to support it

Out side of Syria and Iraq the numbers are reported as around 1400

    https://edition.cnn.com/2014/08/08/world/isis-fast-facts/index.html

The war in Iraq and regions with us and America has estimated

The report states that between 182,272 and 204,575 civilians have been killed in Iraq; 38,480 in Afghanistan; and 23,372 in Pakistan. Nearly 7,000 US troops were killed in Iraq and Afghanistan in the same period.

Iraq needs $90bn to rebuild after 15 years of war
The paper, however, acknowledged that the number of people killed is an "undercount" due to limitations in reporting and "great uncertainty in any count of killing in war".
