...... and in said package was............. Settlement (marriage) visa for herself ......and dependent visa for son :):):):):)

Mixed emotions --- extreme happiness and relief .....coupled with OMG.....this "journey" just got serious!!

Kris (@inaroiles ) and I owe lots of people on here a huge debt of gratitude for all the helpful advice, guidance and encouragement. It is really very much appreciated.

Just to recap. First visitor visa (UK) refused ....second successful. Kris visited chilly Scotland last November and I visited warmer Philippines in January this.

Settlement applications submitted 21 February --- VFS 9 March (standard service). British Embassy case officer called Kris last week to confirm details of Ron's relationship to his Father.

They fly to LHR on 11 June.

Thanks again everyone -- I'm now searching for cloud 9 to clamber aboard! :):):)

    @HaloHalo / @Timmers / @Dav3&Ai5a / @Maley / @uklove / @mistermatty / @Brom27

Thanks a bunch guys and gal!

Been a bit of a slog - but worth it of course.

Final piece in jigsaw is for Kris to go pick up her CFO sticker and for Ron to have his peer to peer session and collect his sticker and they're good to go.

Maley - that would be great. I'm sure Kris would appreciate hearing Tagalog in Bonnie Scotland!

Matty - best of luck - hopefully good news soon.

Hopefully will manage to see other board members at some point - always good to venture south of Hadrian's Wall!

Just heading into the office - mind not totally focused!:D

I just hope Thai Airways get them here safe and sound (via Bangkok).

    Kindest regards.

Nice one @bigmac - a large Glenmorangie seems entirely in order to celebrate our good news! (Was wondering what you you come up with! :))

Kris @inaroiles can have the fizz - or maybe some of this noxious brew!:confused: red-horse-beer-men-s-t-shirt.jpg

Excellent news, Gerry, well done! Now you'd better deep-clean the house, making sure to check all the seat cushions before they arrive!

Never seen it but no doubt some specialist beer store will import some - charging customers a premium price.

I had a few bottles when over in January - it was ok - nothing special. As you'll all know it has a certain reputation for getting you a tad squifish!:confused::confused:

Many thanks @Markham - house tidy-up well underway. I've lived alone for quite a few years so scorched earth deep clean is order of the day!

Only problem is Kris likes me to open Skype so she can monitor progress! I sent her a pic of a window frame recently - it was a 13 mp HD image and she enlarged it to forensically examine the corners etc.:eek:

    I'll get there somehow! :):)
