My good friend lives near the end of the wall at the Solway end, he took me on the trip where I took these shots and to see Vindolanda the Roman fort, that is a good walk and day out too.

My friend owns and runs a pub/lodge at the Solway end where he caters for walkers starting from that end and arriving at that end, he just won a worldwide award on TripAdvisor at least I think it was worldwide, he tries really hard even during these hard times for the hospitality sector.

I'm not going to advertise for him, this site is not for pushing adverts on people, but I do like his pub he's in his seventies and he rescued it when the previous owner went under, revamped the whole place, invested heavily in it through his SIP and it worked.

He keeps digging up Roman artefact's in his garden and surrounding areas :D

P.S. Found one of my Vindolanda shots.

I too have failed miserably when trying to do sample questions from LITUK, it is hard and mostly dumb.

    life in the UK

questions could be--what traffic light comes after green ?

how many pounds in a kilo

    what airports serve London

what is the difference between a credit card and a debit card.

not silly nonsense from 100's of years ago.

this is ridiculous. back to the test exercises--i'm getting most questions wrong, i cant believe many English people would get ANY correct: most totally irrelevant to life NOW in the UK.

Yep..aware of that... But the gov site says there are 30 test centres..nearest to me is London. Other websites say 60 test centers..one in Portsmouth. I just dont want to fall into some con site that is just a test booking agency and end up paying twice...again.
