It was a hoot!! Good weather, big turn out, great atmosphere. I was not too impressed by the food on offer or the prices, to be honest, I thought for a moment about being a bit of a rip off, especially after having to pay 5 quid entrance per person. Anyway, Sunday was the first time in months that I actually got in the car for a longish drive, as my health was not that great for a while. The car sat unused, but taxed and insured for 2 and 3/4 months as I was unable to drive. On the whole it was a good day out, the mrs and her friend, stuffed themselves with whatever they found edible enough, not for getting a sickly purple looking halo-halo. After trying some of my wife's beef caldereta, I hopped in the Irish bar and had a couple of 1/2s of San Miguel to reset my stomach to factory settings. I would have had more but the sun was too hot. We had a good day. Musi was a bit loud but I managed to survive the noise. Our lady admin Florge was there with her family, her daughter sang a couple of pieces at the beginning, with a great voice, and the proud father (Simon) videoing the performance. Probably we will drive to some other Barrio Fiesta before the summer is over.
