Thank you everyone for your help! After 3 months and 1 day , I've finally received an email of My Citizenship Ceremony Booking Confirmation, still waiting for the invitation from Home Office though.

And to those who are still waiting for their result. Goodluck!

Hi @ross mastin Thank you. Your wife needs to decide and find 2 referees for her British citizenship application. Also , lots and lots of patience .

Well still no news on B/C another Week passes by, no questions sent to us either which means we are still in the queue , get a move on we want a summer holiday without all the schengen B/S.

Dont think you will necessarily hear anything until process completes. Went silent for six months for wife but think that was due to having to send in paper application which takes a lot longer. Wont necessarily contact referees either. Only plus point when hit six months is that can get MP to send in query and raise complaints to see if can push process along. If it gets that long then definitely get MP involved. I raised the issue with MP and letter with result was emailed to me as opposed to wife which was irritating as a principle but makes me think that it has an impact.

Think three months or so is normal for processing. Understand results are emailed out on a monday morning although being a bank holiday might be this Tuesday. Hope it goes well.

Thnx , yes we know emz and my wife applied similar times and emz has hers already, frustrating waiting but nothing you can do , as far as I know it was all done correctly so its a waiting game, we cannot book any holidays so this year looks like a U/K job, was hoping to hear something by the end of this Month, still hoping!!

Monday tomorrow and another chance for that email to appear. Know how frustrating it is waiting as took wife about 7 months but that was not the normal time.

If you want something to do while waiting can do a subject access request to see if any clues in there as to what is happening although probably get citizenship approved before get result of subject access request as it takes about 30 days.

Yes could do but I know emz has hers two Weeks ago and we applied the same time, probably sat on a desk somewhere, referees not been contacted, no questions raised, I suppose where you sent it from could have some effect as we are near London, more applications who knows.....

Hi @wardy33 I've asked my referees if they're being contacted and they said no. Maybe email or phone your local MP, they might help to get an update about your BC application.

They never contacted my wife's referees either.

Unfortunately until hit the six month point can't really do a lot as that is their target so not exceeded it yet.

As I understand it until the six month point just get a response that they are processing and within the time limits. Frustrating and dont get amy real information.

Tomorrow is monday so hopefuly a good news email. Otherwise another week of waiting but should be soon.
