Just wondering if anyone has stayed here? Last time we stayed in a condo, but I fancy something a bit more luxurious on this second trip. Purely because we've seen everything there is to see in Davao so I don't mind relaxing by the pool whilst my wife is visiting her parents. Marco Polo also has some extra security compared to our condo before where there was one security guard outside.

I stayed in the waterfront in Davao had a wonderful stay. Also stayed in the Royal mandaya, and pinnackle. I found the Waterfront the best so far. I just got back from Davao.

Thanks John. Two of those hotels seem to be sold out on the dates I am currently looking at. The Pinnacle doesn't have a pool - I'm looking at somewhere where I can keep myself amused whilst my wife is with her family. Of course, I will be seeing her family too, but would like to let her have her own space for some of the time.

Hi Bluebird! Kindly check the seda abreeza, its fronting abreeza mall. Its a corporate hotel. We stayed there this dec31 till Jan 2. It has a small gym and enough size pool. Maybe you can consider it too

Marco Polo Davao is one of the better hotels though it is not the best in that chain - that spot goes to the Marco Polo Cebu. There's a swimming pool, fully-equipped gym, spa, three restaurants and two bars. The food is not particularly inspiring and you'll eater better and cheaper at Claude's Cafe De Ville which is a short taxi ride away. Beers started at 70++ last time I was there.

If you do decide to stay at the Marco Polo, I'd definitely book a room on one of the executive floors (the top two floors) as those rooms include breakfast and early evening cocktails in the clubroom on the top floor.
