It seems that the Philippines Embassies talk a good talk, but fail to help in an abysmal and epic fashion.
All they need to do, is to give a temporary Diplomatic passport, put them on a diplomatic flight and take them home.
I don't see the difficulty, if they really are there to help.

OFW's should be required to sign on for security and safety purposes at least once a month at the various Embassies, just to make sure they are ok, as the trend is for the employers to confiscate the passports as soon as they set foot in the house/prison...

Filipinas are bought and sold at online slave markets, cheap labour in some places with little value as human beings, the Philippines virtually markets them as such. What happened to Duterte's pledge to stop it?

Not always possible. Most have their phones confiscated and not allowed a day off. Often the only contact they have with the outside world is through other trusted employees, gardeners or drivers.
