Surprised this morning. 75.9 Kgs after drinking a low cal beer and a copious amount of rum and diet coke last night. "11.9 stone"

You could have lost a lot of water Jim :D

In the past beer would dehydrate me and make my weight look better than it really was :D

I have lost track Jim. Are the numbers still heading in the right direction? You seemed to be stalling there for a while.

Mrs Ash is back on the trail owing to fitting into smaller sizes again. I must say that she looks a lot closer to her former self than she has done for several years. I wondered if she would give up and simply try and maintain her current weight but she is aiming to lose a further 6 kg. She is pretty euphoric at her own achievement and is quite happy to continue.

The last 10 months have taught her the folly of bingeing on carbohydrates.

On a more sobering note (not alcohol). A typical pack of cereal on Morrison shelves. The cereal is being marketed as being low on sugar. However, a quick glance on the back shows that they are in fact the equivalent of 38% sugar (once the digestive processes are underway). They don’t tell you that so that you buy the product.

The biggest sweeping statement when it comes to diet is the Eatwell Guide. In fact it is virtually the biggest obstacle to the nations good health there is. But I am pretty certain you wouldn’t understand that either.

Yep, right direction. I was 80 kg for a few months, then I was ill for 5 days never ate anything at all. Now weight's just falling off me. Not the right way to lose weight I know.
75.6 Kg this morning. My head looks too big for my body.

Not sure if this short video is viewable. It has been issued by two groups of GP practices in Essex serving a population of 1.2 million patients. It is an NHS production. Three GPs, a Health Coach and a Patient are getting across their message on eating a low carbohydrate diet to sort chronic health problems out.

I am in constant contact with 4 out of 5 of them.

This is just one part of the U.K. now where such an approach is being used to a remarkable degree of success. Yes, I know it goes against what we think we know, but it works, works very well and we know why.

This isn’t a cult of some form, it’s radical health improvement in action and in large doses.

I have seen that before Dom, yes. :D But fish is fantastic for a low carbohydrate healthy fat approach to food.

We have streaky bacon a lot. Usually well killed off by the time Mrs Ash has finished with it. :D
