My wife's Cathay Pacific airticket was £410 return just after Easter when prices dropped dramatically in the UK this year.
This was the price I used to pay 20 to 30 years ago.

That's an amazing deal. Cathay is a good airline as well.

We were so keen to grab the deal that we booked and paid for it within minutes once we checked the date and time she was to arrive in Phils.
We didn't realise there was a 15 hour wait in Hong Kong on the journey home though!
When she arrived home and relaxed for a day or so, I asked her would she do it again for the same cost and without hesitation she replied "Of course, dear!"

Yes 15 hr is a long stopover but there are worse places than Hong Kong. That's another thing I love about my wife and I guess most if not all of our wives are the same, she is so understanding and accommodating when it comes to situations like this when she will willingly suffer a few hours of inconvenience in order to make a sizeable saving on the fare.
